The Miami Dolphins have made headlines yet again after landing Bradley Chubb before the NFL trade deadline.
After getting the star pass rusher on Tuesday, the Dolphins then gave him a contract extension shortly after the trade.
With this new deal, NFL fans have plenty to say about this move.
So what did Chubb get in his new contract and how are NFL fans reacting to this news?
Dolphins Fans Are Happy Over Chubb’s Five-Year Deal
Now that the Dolphins have Chubb, they gave him a five-year, $119 million extension with $63.2 million of it guaranteed.

With him being a top-tier pass rusher, and a young talent, Dolphins fans know their defense hit the jackpot.
I don’t think you guys realize how good Chubb and J. Phillips will make each other. It’s pick your poison especially on 3rd downs. Chubb is gonna cause a ripple effect that could cause havoc for opposing QB’s.

However, Buffalo Bills fans are wondering how the Dolphins can afford all these outstanding players they now have.
WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THIS MONEY

While NFL fans who aren’t fans of the Dolphins were laughing at the move, they are wrong with their trolling of Miami.
It didn’t take long for one Dolphins fan to break down because this deal was a steal for Miami.
12.6 million a year for this dude is stealing too. The rest is incentive based which is smart AF for Miami lol. If he balls out he gets paid. A lot of people don’t seem to get that in these comments 😂. This guy when healthy is a baller. pic.twitter.com/fKMVXIyUQ8

With the Dolphins making parts of the contract “incentive based,” they protect themselves if Chubb can’t play to his potential.
The move is a clear boost for the Dolphins defense, who have issues in the first half of games.
While the team has a bend-but-don’t-break level in some games, others have seen them with awful starts to the game.
Adding Chubb for the long-term gives the Dolphins defense a long-term answer on defense.
It also gives them hope to become contenders this season, as the team’s offense is already on fire with Tua Tagovailoa back quarterbacking the offense.
