The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the best teams in the NFL during the John Harbaugh era, with the team also expected to be a force to be recognized with in the AFC.
That stance may soon change if they can’t get this Lamar Jackson situation under center, as it has really taken a toll on the team and its brass, which was never more evident than in this awkward pre-draft press conference.
The fact that the PR staff told the media not to ask questions about Jackson ahead of a draft is ridiculous.

Here are some fan reactions to this incredibly awkward Ravens pre-draft press conference:
In my 20 years of ravens fandom, I’ve never seen it this bad in that building. It is out of control

This is why the NY media gets a reputation for being tough – they have the guts to hold a team accountable and not just write articles like they work for the team.

He’s a current player on the roster and the press can’t mention him? 😂

Alex asked a question which pertained to the draft. Due to the possibilities of drafting a quarterback, it should be expected that Lamar Jackson is vaguely mentioned.

Lamar is not coming back to the @Ravens. Just the body language of these dudes tells me it is over and they are lost. Lamar is too principled to come back to them. He will move on to any team that has good receivers. I think he is destined to be a Patriot or Colt.

During this press conference, the tension in the air was so thick it could be cut with a knife, as Harbaugh and company looked as uncomfortable as ever when addressing the media that wanted to know about how Jackson’s situation was impacting their draft strategy.
It was an honest question from the media member, as the team will no doubt take a look at the talented quarterbacks in the upcoming draft if they believe they’ll be forced to trade Jackson.
That said, it’s a bit out of line to tell the media, not to mention Jackson, when that’s the only thing fans want to know about at this point in time.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta admitted that the team would look differently at the draft due to the uncertain situation with Jackson.
That makes a lot of sense, as they will almost certainly have to consider their options on draft day.
