The Miami Dolphins had a roller coaster of a season in 2022, and a lot of that was due to their inconsistencies at quarterback.
Tua Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions last season, causing him to miss several games.
After the season, Tagovailoa’s status was very much unknown, with the only reports being that he had officially cleared the league’s protocols.
Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold broke the silence on the situation on a podcast with NFL insider Adam Schefter.

On this podcast, Ingold revealed that Tagovailoa has been taking Judo classes, which, among other things, have shown him how to fail properly.
The NFL and Judo are quite different, in terms of the types of hits that one takes.
However, if Tagovailoa can progress at all, he will be in a better position to play in 2023 and beyond.
There were a few times last season that Tagovailoa was rumored to retire, but that no longer seems to be the case.
Moving forward, if Tagovailoa can get back to full health, the Dolphins should be in a great spot.
Their defense is on the rise, and their young receiving weapons are among the league’s best.
Mike McDaniel has created a winning culture in his first season as the Dolphins’ head coach, which should improve moving forward as well.
Will the Dolphins be able to make the playoffs again next season, knowing that the AFC East will only get stronger moving forward?
This team will live and die by the quarterback position.
With any luck, Tagovailoa will be fully healthy next year, leaving the Dolphins to another playoff berth.
