Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has made quite the impression since entering the NFL in 2020.
Herbert won the Rookie of The Year honor over Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and is having another great season in 2022.
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel recently shared some friendly banter when discussing Herbert and his successes in the league.
Mike McDaniel on Justin Herbert: “He does have an arm, two of them. It is strong, I’m not sure how much he can curl but he can throw a ball far.”

These comments about Herbert’s strength come ahead of the matchup between the Dolphins and Chargers on Sunday.
When he was coming out of college, Herbert was known for his talented arm strength, which is what McDaniel is referencing, even though he makes light of the situation.
A Matchup With Serious Playoff Implications
The Dolphins currently have a record of 8-4 and are in desperate need of a win to keep up with the Buffalo Bills, who are currently ahead of them in their division.
The Chargers, on the other hand, are currently 6-6 and second in the AFC West, behind the 9-3 Kansas City Chiefs.
With a win over the Dolphins on Sunday, the Chargers get that much closer to a Wild Card berth for this year’s playoffs.
But, a loss to McDaniel and the Dolphins is likely to push them out of playoff contention, making it nearly impossible to make up ground.
Herbert has only faced off against the Dolphins once in his career, ultimately losing a hard-fought, 29-22 contest in his rookie season.
With the emergence of Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, this Sunday’s matchup is sure to be another tough one.
