The Miami Dolphins have been aggressive in improving their roster this offseason.
They added cornerback Jalen Ramsey in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.
Also, the Dolphins have been sure to re-sign some of their players.
The Dolphins just re-signed one of their veteran tight ends.
According to Ari Meirov, Durham Smythe has agreed to a contract extension.

Smythe has been a reliable player for the Dolphins.
He might even be set for a bigger role in 2023, due to Mike Gesicki leaving the team.
It will be interesting to see how he performs as the TE1 for the first time in his career.
One player that needs to have a big 2023 season is quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
He made substantial improvements last year but can still improve in many areas.
One spot where Tua has struggled the most is staying on the field.
He struggled to stay healthy in college and that has followed him to the pros.
Players like Smythe can help Tua by acting as solid checkdown options and security blankets.
Miami will be playing with massive expectations in 2023.
They are expected to compete for an AFC East title, and even make a run in the playoffs.
But to reach expectations, Tagovailoa will have to remain healthy.
If he can do that, keep an eye on the Dolphins as a sleeper team in the AFC.
