Dak Prescott’s NFL career has been a whirlwind thus far.

He is a seven-year NFL veteran and has brought the Dallas Cowboys to the playoffs on four separate occasions.

After winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2016, Prescott has been under more and more scrutiny.

Many believe that he hasn’t been the same since his injury, and there are plenty of analysts that are calling for his head.

Amid this scrutiny, Prescott was recently asked about his legacy, and what he hopes it will be like.

As Noah Bullard from NBC 5 Sports highlights, Prescott said, “A man my mom would be proud of.”

Prescott could have used this opportunity to talk about the upcoming season or talk about his on-field efforts.

However, he used a platform to talk about himself as a man, and how he’d like his mother to be proud of his actions.

Prescott was the 2022 Walter Payton Man of the Year, an award that’s given to an individual that makes an impact on their community.

His efforts to bring awareness to both cancer and suicide have been highly appreciated, and now have been praised at the highest level.

Prescott lost his mother to colon cancer in 2013, another reason for all of his charitable efforts.

Despite the scrutiny that Prescott has received due to his on-field play, he continues to thrive off the field.

Even after he hangs up his cleats, Prescott’s charitable efforts will likely continue for years to come, especially given the massive reach he has due to his platform.
