The Denver Broncos have made some exciting moves this offseason.

The most impactful will be that they hired a new head coach.

Sean Payton will take over in Denver after a year away from the game.

As an offensive guru, he will be tasked with fixing one of the worst offenses in the NFL in 2022.

No player was more disappointing this past season than Russell Wilson.

His first year in Denver was a failure, so that is why the Broncos paid up to land Payton.

Colin Cowherd even believes that the Broncos are the most improved team this offseason.

Other than the addition of Payton, the Broncos also made a few nice under-the-radar moves.

To help keep Wilson upright this season they added two new offensive linemen.

Mike McGlinchey and Ben Powers will join the Broncos and provide upgrades upfront.

But to think these moves vault the Broncos into one of the better teams in the AFC would be a mistake.

It is still safe to assume that Denver will be the third-best team in their division behind the Chiefs and Chargers.

Denver still seems in the market to make a few more moves before the draft.

There have been talks that they are interested in trading one of their wide receivers.

It appears as if Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy might find a new team next season.

Also, the Broncos will not be getting much help from the draft this year.

Their top draft pick is in the third round, and they will be lucky to find an impact player in that spot.

So while the Broncos did improve this offseason, it will still be difficult for them to be a playoff team in 2023.
