The Washington Commanders kept their playoff hopes alive when they got an upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
With them right behind the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card race, fans have hope their team can reach the playoffs.
However, are these hopes something the Commanders can turn into a reality?
Four Tough Games Left On Their Schedule
While the Commanders are starting off with some soft opponents, they have some tougher teams coming up.
The Commanders woke up 5-5 and a half-game out of a playoff spot.
Softest portion of their schedule coming up: Games against the Texans and Falcons. Then they play two straight against the good but beatable Giants. Very plausible they could go 3-1 and be 8-6 w/ three to play.

With two games against the New York Giants, the Commanders have some time to build momentum.
However, they also face the 49ers and Dallas Cowboys, with these games possibly being key in their playoff chances.
While the Commanders could be 7-7 or 8-6 coming down to their last three games, it’s those games which can determine their playoff chances.
But for the 49ers, who are in front of the Commanders, they have an easier path to the playoffs.
They only face three tough games, with two of them being winnable for them.
However, the game between the 49ers and Commanders can determine which team makes the playoffs.
It will be here where fans can find out if the Commanders reach the playoffs.
49ers Will Keep Them Out Of The Playoffs
While the Commanders look better with Taylor Heinicke as quarterback, they can’t make it past the 49ers.
Their defense is solid, and can stop the running game the Commanders are building.
With Heinicke still good for one mistake each game, that may cost them and keep them out of the playoffs.
