After almost two years without playing a snap in the NFL, Deshaun Watson should be returning to the field for the Cleveland Browns organization very soon.

By 4:00 p.m. ET today, Watson is eligible to return to practice for the Browns.

Unless there is a major change, he will be Browns’ starting quarterback on Sunday against the Houston Texans.

While backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been playing well for the Browns, Watson is on their books for a five-year, $230 million, fully guaranteed contract.

Watson is who the Browns have invested in, and pending an unsuspected lawsuit, will be playing for the Browns’ matchup against the Texans on Sunday.

Will Watson Be Able To Perform As Expected?

As a member of the Texans, he was always in the conversation for league MVP.

In his four years as the starter for the Texans, Watson threw for 14,539 yards, 104 touchdowns, and only 36 interceptions.

He also ran for 1,677 yards and added 17 touchdowns on the ground.

When on the field, he was certainly a top-5 quarterback in the NFL.

With the emergence of talents like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Justin Fields, etc., Watson will certainly need to impress to be compared to these NFL stars.

Will Watson be able to perform as well, if not better than two years ago?

All eyes will be watching to find out.

Not only will Watson make his Browns debut on Sunday, but it will be accompanied by a matchup against his former team.

Tune in to find out if Watson will need a few games to shake off the rust, or if he can resort to MVP-caliber form.
