The Denver Broncos can boast of having two of the best quarterbacks in the history of the game: John Elway and Peyton Manning.
So now that the former is celebrating his 63rd birthday, countless fans took to Twitter to wish him a happy birthday and thank him for all he’s done for the team.

Elway hadn’t played a single snap in the NFL and was already a big name in the league.
After his remarkable career at Stamford, he literally forced the Baltimore Colts, the team that had the No. 1 pick in that NFL Draft, to trade him, and he was so good and impressive as a prospect that the Broncos didn’t. hesitate to make a deal.
That decision paid off almost immediately.
The Broncos became one of the teams to beat in the league, with Elway leading them to a pair of late stage wins.
Over his remarkable career, he completed 4,123 of 7,250 pass attempts (56.9%), throwing for 51,475 yards, 300 touchdowns, and 226 interceptions.
He had a 79.9 passer rating and added 3,407 rushing yards and 33 rushing touchdowns.
Elway later pursued a career as an executive and continued to be associated with the organization, perhaps the most prominent figure in franchise history.
Unfortunately for fans, he was never as good at evaluating other quarterbacks as he was at playing the position, and that’s become painfully apparent to fans over the past decade as he’s struggled to find a replacement for Manning.
