The 2022 NFL season is giving NFL fans plenty of surprises.

However, one surprise is seeing the Seattle Seahawks in first place in the NFC West.

While the Seahawks being on top of the NFC West is a shock, does that make them the biggest surprise team this season?

It’s a tough call, but there’s plenty to examine with the Seahawks and their 2022 season.

Seahawks 2022 Season Is A Big Surprise

With the loss of quarterback Russell Wilson, some felt the Seahawks were a losing team heading into 2022.

While Jackson Felts saw the Seahawks being a three or five win team without Wilson, the Seahawks are proving him wrong.

However, winning without Wilson isn’t the only shocking thing about their season.

They are doing well without defensive anchor Bobby Wagner.

During the 2022 off-season, the Seahawks let Wagner go, ending their decade-long relationship.

Without him, people felt the Seahawks were doomed, as they lost leaders on offense and defense this season.

However, the Seahawks are doing all the right things at the right time with their players.

While they lost their two best running backs in Rashaad Penny and Travis Homer, rookie Kenneth Walker has stepped up.

Even Geno Smith is shocking people, as he ranks eighth in passing yards (1,924) and tied for fifth in passing TDs (13).

The play by Walker and Smith gives plenty of reasons to think the Seahawks are the biggest surprise this season.

However, the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles slightly edge out the Seahawks for the biggest surprise team of 2022.
