The Washington Commanders have gone through some big changes, and we’re not just talking about their name and potential new owner.

They’re set to start second-year quarterback Sam Howell next season, and hopes are high for their new offense orchestrated by new OC Eric Bieniemy.

With that in mind, NFL analyst John Middlekauff thinks it wouldn’t be surprising to see them win at least ten games next season, citing that they could be one of the most surprising teams in the league in 2023.

According to Middlekauff, via The Volume, they have more than enough talent at both ends of the football field to be a force to be reckoned with next season.

As risky as starting with a fifth-round pick might seem, Howell had a pretty solid career in college, and many scouts were very interested in him before he first entered the league.

Plus, they have the pieces to put together an explosive offense with Bieniemy at the helm, and they closed out last season on a high note.

Middlekauff also cited that there isn’t much difference between them and the rest of their division, except, obviously, for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The analyst explains that the New York Giants, as improved and well-trained as they were last season, simply don’t have enough talent, and the Dallas Cowboys haven’t been able to step up either.

Will the Commanders live up to these expectations?
