The Dallas Cowboys are in the middle of a very good season with high expectations moving forward.
Sitting with a record of 6-2, Dallas looks like one of the best teams in the NFC.
But, they are still looking for ways to improve their roster, especially on offense.
At the trade deadline, the Cowboys tried to trade for Brandin Cooks and Jerry Jeudy.
Even though they were unsuccessful in that, there is still one receiver available in free agency.
That is former Los Angeles Ram Odell Beckham Jr.
NFL Network Insiders Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport said on Sunday that the Cowboys are making a play for Beckham.
the #Cowboys have WR Odell Beckham Jr in their sights, sources say.
After attempting to acquire a speedy WR before the trade deadline, Dallas turns its focus to the top FA available. Story from me and @MikeGarafolo: https://t.co/xnGJJqpTBz

Can Dallas Land Beckham?
It should be no surprise that Dallas is in the market for an impact wide receiver.
CeeDee Lamb is their only receiver giving them consistent production, and they could use another weapon.
Cowboys Owner/GM Jerry Jones has never been opposed to taking on a big personality, and that is what they will be getting in Beckham.
It looks like the market for the star receiver will be full of WR-needy teams.
Other contenders expected to be interested are the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, and New York Giants.
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy even said how big of a fan he was of Beckham.
Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said “we really love our receiver group.” But with free agent WR Odell Beckham, “I’ve always been a huge fan of his. …I’ve just heard so many excellent, excellent things about him.”

Over the past few weeks, more and more people in the Cowboys building have professed their interest in the receiver.
Beckham is expected to be fully cleared by the end of this week.
There should be no reason Dallas does not make a strong offer to him soon.
The Cowboys realize how weak the NFC looks this season, so acquiring Beckham is an all-in move they need to make.
