Former NFL Star Scores First TD In XFL Game

The National Football League has seen a plethora of talented players go in and out over the past few decades.

Several of them, however, refuse to give up on the game they love, so they continue to pursue a professional career somewhere else.

That was the case again this year with the XFL in its third attempt to find success in the American market, and the early returns were quite encouraging.

The XFL managed to attract several interesting suitors, including former Cleveland Browns star Josh Gordon, perhaps the biggest name in the league this season.

The explosive playmaker — who topped legends like Randy Moss in receiving yards in a single NFL season — proved that he’s still got it by catching six passes for 74 yards and a score for the Seattle Sea Dragons.

Despite having former Dallas Cowboys QB Ben DiNucci at the helm and Gordon wreaking havoc downfield, the Sea Dragons still lost to the DC Defenders, 22-18.

All things considered, Gordon could’ve been one of the most impactful wideouts in recent NFL history, but his off-field issues always stood in his way.

He still managed to be somewhat helpful to the Kansas City Chiefs and win a Super Bowl, but he still failed to live up to the hype and his untapped potential.

Gordon is still 31 years old and proved to have something left in the tank, albeit a lesser defense.

So, even though it seems quite unlikely, there’s a slim chance that he’ll get one final shot in the NFL next season.
