The Boston Red Sox are prepared to begin the 2023 season after some important under-the-radar signings.

The team signed Justin Turner, Adam Duvall, and Masataka Yoshida to bolster the lineup and also added Kenley Jansen and Corey Kluber on the pitching side.

But with the addition of Turner, two former teammates with the Los Angeles Dodgers have been reunited.

Turner has been reunited with super utilityman Enrique Hernandez, who joined the Red Sox in 2021 after several years in the Dodgers organization.

On Twitter, the Red Sox posted a few pictures of the two of them reuniting as teammates and sharing a hug.

Turner came to the Dodgers in 2014 and became a superstar at third base.

Hernandez joined the team in 2015.

The two were together for the Dodgers’ World Series runs in 2017 and 2018 and won a ring together in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

Now, the two of them will reunite in Boston as the Red Sox look to rebound from a disappointing finish in 2022.

Turner is coming off of a season in which he helped guide the Dodgers to an MLB-best 111 wins.

He also earned the Roberto Clemente Award.

With the two teammates reunited, Turner could potentially serve as a designated hitter while Hernandez splits time between second base, shortstop, and the outfield.

But the two former Dodgers teammates have been through a lot together and have been part of winning teams before.

The two will look to help bring a similar success to Boston in 2023.

Turner also has a player option on his contract for 2024.
