The Indianapolis Colts were one of the last teams to hire their new head coach.

But, they have to be happy with the man they got.

The Colts have finalized a deal to make Shane Steichen their new head coach.

Steichen comes over as the former offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles.

He just helped lead them to the Super Bowl and had an awesome game plan in that game.

The Eagle scored 35 points but came up just shy of winning the big game.

Steichen became a popular name this season due to his elite play-calling abilities with the Eagles.

His ability to call successful run plays was a big reason for the team’s success.

Steichen was the OC for the Eagles the past two seasons and helped get them to the playoffs in both years.

You could tell what the Eagles players meant to him in his introductory press conference with the Colts.

Steichen deserves plenty of credit for the development of quarterback Jalen Hurts.

He’s turned Hurts into one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL, and an MVP candidate.

Now he will be looking to do the same thing with whatever quarterback he gets in Indianapolis.

The Colts have not had a franchise quarterback since Andrew Luck retired, but they should be looking to draft one this year.

Indianapolis has the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft, and owner Jim Irsay has taken a liking to Bryce Young.

There is no question the Colts need to give Steichen a young talent to work with, and Young fits the bill.

Look for the Colts to have an aggressive offseason as they might only be a QB away from contending in the AFC South.
