In less than a month, the World Baseball Classic will get underway.
Stars will join their respective countries and teams in hopes of being able to bring home the WBC title.
But this year’s Classic is going to be full of exciting star players.
In fact, there will be eight players who have won MVP awards at certain points during their careers.
Paul Goldschmidt, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Jose Altuve, Mike Trout, Clayton Kershaw, Freddie Freeman, and Miguel Cabrera will all be suiting up to play in the WBC.

Interestingly, Team USA will have half of the former MVPs on their squad.
Goldschmidt won the National League MVP award last year after a tremendous season.
Betts won the American League MVP award in 2018 during his time with the Boston Red Sox.
Kershaw won it in 2014 in addition to his third Cy Young, while Trout earned MVP honors in 2014, 2016, and 2019.
Altuve and Cabrera will both be suiting up for Team Venezuela, while Ohtani will represent Team Japan and Freeman will join Team Canada.
And so, with so many former MVPs playing in the Classic, we’re going to be in for quite a treat this spring.
When two teams have more than one of these former MVPs on their rosters, it makes for some exciting baseball, and that’s what we’re in for in March.
Things will kick off on March 7 and the finale will be played on March 21.
We’ll see which MVPs can come up big in the Classic.
