Yesterday marked the 57th Super Bowl in NFL history.

It was a classic matchup between two elite squads, those being the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Interestingly enough, it was only the second time in North American sports history that teams from Kansas City and Philadelphia met to determine a champion.

The first time was the 1980 World Series, when the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Kansas City Royals in the World Series.

That series lasted six games, with each team splitting the first four games.

Philadelphia grabbed Games 1 and 2 at home before losing Games 3 and 4 on the road.

But they won Game 5 in Kansas City and returned home to win Game 6 and capture the title.

MLB Network posted a highlight reel of the series on Twitter.

There were certainly some wild moments in this World Series, just as there were in the Super Bowl last night.

The main difference between the two matchups is that Philadelphia captured the ultimate prize in the 1980 World Series, and Kansas City came out on top last night.

Still, even though it’s only happened twice, the Philadelphia versus Kansas City matchups for the championship were epic.

Last night, it came down to the last few seconds before the Chiefs kicked a field goal to win the game.

In 1980, prior to the final out, catcher Bob Boone dropped a popup but was ultimately bailed out by Pete Rose, who grabbed it after it was dropped.

One out later and it was pandemonium in Philadelphia, as the Phillies closed out the Royals.
