This year’s Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs should be a good one, and many feel it will be a close and very competitive contest.
Usually, the very least NFL fans hope for from a matchup such as this one is that both teams are relatively healthy so there won’t be any excuses to be made for the team that ends up losing.
With just two days to go before the big game, the only player on both teams that is listed on the injury report is Eagles wide receiver Britain Covey, who is not one of their main contributors.

Covey, an undrafted rookie out of the University of Utah, has mostly been used as a punt and kick returner this season by Philly.
He appeared in all 17 regular season games and contributed 308 punt return yards and 206 kick return yards.
Perhaps the biggest injury question surrounding both teams has been the status of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a sprained ankle during the team’s divisional round victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars nearly three weeks ago.
He looked somewhat hobbled at times in the AFC Championship Game versus the Cincinnati Bengals, but it didn’t prevent him from doing well and making some big plays in crunch time.
With Mahomes completing 29 of 43 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns, the Chiefs got revenge for last year’s overtime loss in the same situation by defeating the Bengals 23-20.
The Eagles are still slightly favored, but there is a feeling among many that Mahomes’ amazing gifts will allow the Chiefs to prevail and claim their second world championship in four years.
