The NCAA’s Southeastern Conference (SEC) has long been regarded as the strongest conference in college football, and therefore it is no surprise that it has produced many strong performers in the NFL.

In Week 14, the highest-graded wide receivers in the pros, according to Pro Football Focus, are products of Louisiana State University – the Baltimore Ravens’ Ja’Marr Chase and Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson.

Chase Had A Strong Showing

The Bengals defeated the struggling Cleveland Browns 23-10 on Sunday to hold onto first place in the AFC North, and Chase led the way.

He had 10 receptions for 119 yards, and he had the first score of the game on a touchdown early in the first quarter that helped set the tone for the afternoon.

Chase, who was the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year last season, is having another strong season with 821 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing four games with a hip injury.

He is a huge reason why Cincinnati ranks fourth in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns.

Jefferson Is Making Minnesota Into A Super Bowl Contender

Despite putting up 1,400 yards in 2020 as a rookie and 1,616 yards last season, Jefferson didn’t get as much publicity as a few other top-flight wideouts.

But he has continued to put up lofty numbers this season.

He had an eye-popping 223 yards in Week 14 versus the Detroit Lions, and he currently leads everyone with 1,500 receiving yards on the season.

Perhaps some people are starting to pay attention to him.

Jefferson is the biggest reason the Vikings are in first place in the NFC North with a 10-3 record.
