The Los Angeles Rams are having a season to forget.

Last season, the team’s fans were on top of the world.

Their dominant performances gave them a home Super Bowl meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals, which they would win.

The Rams came into this year with the hope that they could build on last year’s success and stage another run for the championship.

Then the opening game of the season happened.

The Rams failed to turn up, as they were beaten by the Buffalo Bills, 31-10.

Things got a bit better after, with the team going into their bye week 3-3.

The Rams would come out of their bye week, and lose their next six games.

This six-game losing streak is the largest losing streak by a defending Super Bowl champion in history.

Add in the season-ending injuries from Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford, and you could see why the Rams fans were desperate for anything to change.

Then Baker Mayfield arrived.

Finally, A Win

Mayfield joined the Rams after being released from the Carolina Panthers this week.

He may be seen as a washed-up has been by the majority of the league, but to Rams fans, even just for today, he is seen in a good light.

Baker led his new Rams offense to a last-minute game-winning touchdown to beat the Las Vegas Raiders, 17-16.

This win, while having no impact on the division standings, ends the Rams losing streak, and gives them something to smile about.

So happy Victory Friday to Rams fans.
