The New York Jets appear to have their sights set on making it to the Super Bowl, a place they haven’t been since the 1968 season.
Back then, it was “Broadway” Joe Namath who boldly guaranteed they would defeat the heavily favored Baltimore Colts, going on to a 16-7 victory and world championship.
With future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers on board and a well-stocked roster on both sides of football, the Jets have been mentioned as a top candidate for HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
Head coach Robert Saleh has said publicly that he doesn’t really want his team to appear on the show, but it seems the Jets are prepared to do so, according to ProFootballTalk.

The show debuted in 2001 and details a team as it progresses through training camp, as well as many stories surrounding the team both on and off the field.
There are a few other candidates for next season’s edition of the show, including the Detroit Lions, a young team on the rise that many are picking to finish first in the NFC North.
Not many people outside of the Tri-state area are picking the Jets to win their division, but it looks like they have the horses to not only make the playoffs but also go far once there.
They had the fourth-ranked defense in the league last season behind Defensive Rookie of the Year Willow Gardner, and they expect wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year, to become Rodgers’ new version of Davante Adams.
