The Minnesota Vikings can’t seem to catch a break.
They let Adam Thielen, Za’Darius Smith, Dalvin Cook, and Dalvin Tomlinson go, and their QB keeps on getting criticized.
Cousins was again on the wrong end of a joke, this time by DE Cam Jordan.
The superstar pass rusher was addressing some colleagues during Von Miller’s pass rush summit when he took a shot at Cousins’ slow decision-making:
“In this game, like everybody knows, a fast wrong decision could be a right decision,” Jordan said. “And a fast right decision, you’re a winner. And a slow right decision, get yo a** on the bench cause there’s somebody out here that’s gon’ be moving at a different speed. Slow right decisions, we love ’em. Call ’em Kirk Cousins.”

This might sound cruel, but he’s right on point.
Cousins isn’t the kind of QB who often takes risks or makes mistakes, but he’s not a quick decision-maker by any means.
Even so, Cousins should still keep notes of this, as he was pretty much mocking him in front of younger players.
More curiously, it’s not like Cousins has fared any badly against the Saints since becoming a starter.
He’s averaged 302 yards per game and has thrown for 14 touchdowns against just two picks in six games, although he took 16 sacks as well, 3.5 from Jordan.
Cousins is also 3-3 against the Saints, including 1-0 in the playoffs.
Still, the narrative around him is that he’s a middle-of-the-pack kind of player who often struggles when the lights are the brightest, and that’s not likely to change at this point in his career.
Cousins will have a tough time putting up numbers now that the Vikings have been decimated, and that’s not going to do a lot to help his case next season.
