DeAndre Hopkins, a veteran wide receiver who spent the last three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, is a free agent, and there are reportedly several teams interested in signing him.
There are those teams that want him, but there are perhaps a few teams that really need him.
According to NFL insider Ross Tucker, one of the teams that needs Hopkins is the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are going to get DeAndre Hopkins for the same reason the Jets got Aaron Rodgers:

The Browns already have three seemingly reliable wide receivers: four-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper and emerging threats Donovan Peoples-Jones and Elijah Moore.
But in the ultra-competitive AFC, perhaps Hopkins would mean the difference between competing for a playoff spot and actually making the playoffs.
He is a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time selection to the All-Pro first-team, and even if his talent and skills have eroded a bit over the last few years, he still recorded 717 yards and three touchdowns in nine games. last season.
To be clear, however, offense wasn’t really the problem for the Browns in 2022 when they finished 7-10 — it was defense.
To that end, they have brought in defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, defensive end Za’Darius Smith, and safety Juan Thornhill this offseason.
Since the current iteration of the Browns began play in the 1999 season, they have made the playoffs only twice and have won just one playoff game.
But executive Andrew Berry has been aggressive the last couple of offseasons in an attempt to change that trend and establish a new winning tradition in Cleveland.
The question is whether signing Hopkins would be a wise way to continue that effort.
