Detroit Lions pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson is getting some praise thrown his way.
After starting off his rookie season with a horrible performance in his first game, things are changing for him.
With his success in his game against the New York Giants, Pro Football Focus is giving the rookie high praise.
So what is PFF saying about the second overall pick from the 2022 NFL Draft?
PFF Grades Hutchinson For His Sunday Performance Against The New York Giants
After Sunday’s game against the Giants, PFF came out and gave the rookie edge rusher to 85.6 grade.

The rank made him the second highest graded edge rusher during week 11.
While he had one interception and one fumble recovery, he couldn’t snag the highest grade.
However, there might be a reason behind him not getting a higher ranking.
Outside Of Turnovers, Hutchinson Was Non-Existent
During his game against the Giants, Hutchinson had one solo tackle, two assisted tackles, and zero sacks.
As a highly touted pass rusher, a failure to reach the quarterback is problematic.
While he has 5.5 sacks this season, three sacks came against Carson Wentz and a poor Washington Commanders offensive line.
So PFF might give him a high grade on his awareness to get turnovers, but his lack of numbers in other departments hold him back.
They are seeing the big picture, how someone who’s a pass rusher isn’t getting sacks or causing fumbles.
While Hutchinson is benefiting from his fumble recovery and interception, it isn’t enough to give him a better grade.
