The Philadelphia Eagles, according to many analysts, were the winners of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Eagles will enter the 2023 season with an already loaded roster, coming off a Super Bowl appearance.
As they look to improve that success, they selected two highly-touted rookies, including Nolan Smith, in the draft.
Smith was the second-to-last pick in round one, and, according to the Eagles’ Twitter account, Smith has signed his contract with the team.

Smith is one of the five most recent University of Georgia alumni joining the Eagles.
For whatever reason, the Eagles tend to like Georgia prospects, especially on defense.
The Eagles’ other Georgia defensive players are Nakobe Dean, Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Kelee Ringo.
They had one of the league’s best defenses last season, and Carter and Smith will look to contribute in year one.
The good news for the Eagles is that the NFC hasn’t changed a lot during the offseason.
With any luck, they will be able to make a deep playoff run again this season, even with rookies on their defensive front.
Even if the team does experience early growing pains, they should be able to get everything sorted out in time for the playoffs.
Smith is a two-time national champion and is used to playing in high-stress games.
He, Ringo, and Carter’s experience in these big games could come in handy for their playoff games, assuming each of them makes the starting roster.
At 6-foot-2 and 236 pounds, Smith’s physical makeup is similar to that of other elite linebackers.
