Deion Sanders has made headlines over the past two seasons, but it’s not for his former NFL prowess.

In 2020, Sanders took over as the head coach of Jackson State, turning the organization around.

Ahead of the 2023 collegiate season, Sanders has taken the head coaching job at the University of Colorado.

Sanders has drawn significant interest thus far, according to recent reports.

For starters, as Front Office Sports highlights, Colorado’s spring game sold 45,000 tickets, which is more than the past nine Spring games combined.

The effect of “Coach Prime” in Colorado has taken full effect, both with the fans and within the locker room as well.

Many players have made an effort to work with Sanders, as he has begun to draw in several top recruits.

While Colorado’s football program hasn’t experienced significant success as of late, Sanders is slated to help change that.

The Buffaloes have only experienced one winning season in the last ten years, which came in 2016.

Adding Sanders as their head coach will provide NFL-caliber leadership to a locker room and fanbase that is in desperate need of a jumpstart.

Whether the team will find success under Sanders remains to be seen.

If fan engagement is any indication, however, this team is slated to draw massive attendance, something that has not been common over the past several years.

Armed with top recruits and an NFL-style mindset, the Colorado Buffaloes will enter the 2023 season with high hopes and aspirations.

Sanders has set the bar high for this organization, which has a lot of work to do moving forward.
