At one point during the pre-draft process, Jalen Carter was widely seen as the best overall prospect.
Many top draft analysts believed that he would be picked first overall, due to his athleticism which was on full display at the University of Georgia.
However, after some reporting about his potential involvement in the death of a teammate, public opinion changed, almost overnight.
As the draft gets closer, and Carter has met with more teams, it appears that the tides have turned again.
In a recent article, Peter King highlights this change, saying “An increasing number of people around the league think Jalen Carter has done enough in his visits to not sink like a stone on draft night.”
He also went on to say, “It’s become almost a cliche, how many team officials think the (Seattle) Seahawks will take Carter with the fifth overall pick.
King’s story has been corroborated by major sportsbooks, as the Seahawks have become the favorite to select Carter.

At the NFL Combine, Carter measured in at 6-foot-3, and 314 pounds,
If he can play efficiently at that weight in the NFL, he could be seen as one of the steals of the draft.
Whether the Seahawks take a chance on him, remains to be seen.
After they made the playoffs in 2022, the Seahawks are looking to continue to build upon their success, adding the necessary pieces moving forward.
The draft is rapidly approaching, and the Seahawks have two first-round picks, who could potentially impact their roster right away.
