The NFL offseason has been full of surprising moves.

Both in free agency signing and trades.

One position that teams are always looking to upgrade is the backup quarterback.

You never know how important a backup QB is until your starter goes down.

But some backup QBs can help keep a team’s season alive.

We saw that last year when Dak Prescott went down and Cooper Rush was asked to step in.

Rush went 4-1 in the five games he started and allowed the Cowboys to keep their momentum.

One team that needs to invest heavily in a backup quarterback is the Los Angeles Rams.

With Matthew Stafford as the starter, having a reliable backup is crucial.

Stafford has been known to get injured, and he lost a large part of last season due to a neck injury.

According to Maurice Moton of Bleacher Report, Wentz should sign a one-year deal with the Rams.

This may not be a terrible move for the Rams, as Sean McVay can get the best out of quarterbacks.

He has done that with Jared Goff, and he did that with Baker Mayfield last year.

Maybe McVay can do the same thing with Wentz and find a way to save his career.

At this point in Wentz’s career, he is nothing more than a backup.

But he has shown the ability to play well earlier in his career.

It will be on whatever team signs him to try and get the best out of Wentz once again.
