The Arizona Cardinals are looking more and more like a sinking ship, with the team making some drastic moves this NFL offseason, and some of those moves might be forced by players.
First, the team parted ways with head coach Kliff Kingsbury, which many saw coming, and it has been reported that the team is currently shopping superstar wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.
Now it appears another star player in Arizona could be moved, with Pro Bowler Budda Baker requesting the team trades him this offseason, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Cardinals’ Pro-Bowl safety Budda Baker now has requested that Arizona trade him, per source.

As if finding the right trade partner for Hopkins wasn’t tricky enough or a pressing matter for the Cardinals brass, Baker, who is the undisputed leader of the defense, wanting to be traded is a significant blow for the immediate future of this team.
Although the Cardinals have the face of the franchise secure in the form of star quarterback Kyler Murray, the team is clearly going through a rebuilding process, which could take some time.
The Cardinals were once considered a team on the rise in the NFC, with a solid assortment of players on both sides of the football.
That stance has changed quickly and will only worsen after the departure of Hopkins and Baker, who are, without a doubt, two of the best players on the squad.
Baker has made the Pro Bowl in all but one season (2018) he’s been with the Cardinals producing solid numbers across the board every year.
Undoubtedly, he’ll be a hot commodity following this trade request, with the Cardinals likely getting plenty of calls moving forward.
