The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the league’s top teams in 2022, cementing themselves atop the NFC.

While they fell short of a Super Bowl, they appear to have the necessary pieces in place to compete for the next several years.

For a quarterback, having a strong offensive line can be the difference between an okay year, and an MVP-level season.

Jalen Hurts took a big leap in production during the 2022 season, which is largely attributed to strong offensive line play.

The Eagles have recognized this and recently extended their star right tackle.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Lane Johnson received a one-year, $33,445 contract extension.

As Schefter points out, Johnson hasn’t allowed a sack in two seasons, something that not many linemen can say.

The Eagles are routinely recognized for their impressive line play, and Johnson has been paid a hefty sum to keep his efforts going.

Despite skepticism early on in his career, Hurts has proven to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFC, evidenced by his MVP nomination in 2022.

Will the Eagles be able to continue their dominance in 2023, given the fact that the NFC continues to see its top quarterbacks head to the AFC?

Jason Kelce has also re-signed a contract after many believed that he would retire in the offseason.

He and Johnson will lead the charge on the offensive line, as the Eagles work towards another successful season.

It appears that Nick Sirianni isn’t going anywhere either, creating stability in the coaching role as well.
