The New York Jets continue to be one of the most active teams this offseason.
They have made plenty of moves to improve their roster over the first week of free agency.
All of these moves are setting up the apparent Aaron Rodgers trade on the mend.
New York wants to have the best offense possible for Rodgers.
The four-time MVP has already stated he wants to play for the Jets, and now it is just a matter of getting the deal done.
The most recent signing for the Jets was wide receiver Mecole Hardman.
He is one of the fastest wide receivers in the NFL and can help open up the offense in New York.
Yet, Hardman signed with the Jets without any thought of possibly playing with Rodgers.
According to Rich Cimini, Hardman mentioned wanting to play with Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard.
Hardman says Rodgers didn’t have anything to do with him signing. He mentions Lazard and Garrett Wilson as guys he’s looking forward to joining. #Jets

It is hard to believe that any wide receiver would want to play for the Jets with their current quarterback situation.
Hardman and Lazard did not sign in New York to play with Zach Wilson.
They fully expect to have Rodgers as their quarterback entering the 2023 season.
No one seems to know what is taking the Packers and Jets so long.
There should be an incentive for both sides to get this done as quickly as possible.
The very latest they could do a deal would probably be the NFL Draft.
You can assume the Packers want a package of picks back for the upcoming draft.
So they need to figure something out before then.
But, Rodgers to New York seems like a foregone conclusion in many people’s eyes.
