The Houston Texans finished the 2022 NFL season with a 3-13-1 record.
As a result, they found themselves at the bottom of the AFC South and will have the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
After Deshaun Watson left the team, the Texans have found themselves without a true franchise quarterback.
A recent report has surfaced about who the Texans are rumored to take second overall, which is now likely to be Bryce Young.
Given the rumors out there about Panthers/Young, it’s worth revisiting this note from our NFL Draft News & Rumors.

Draft analyst Lance Zierlein has pointed out that CJ Stroud isn’t a major target for the Texans.
Stroud is represented by the same agent that Deshaun Watson has.
According to Zierlein, it appears that the Texans don’t want to work with that agent, considering that he allegedly cost the Texans a large sum of money.
Whether the Texans would turn to Will Levis or Anthony Richardson remains to be seen.
However, it appears that, if Young is available, the Texans will draft him.
Young won the Heisman Trophy in 2021 and is a highly regarded prospect.
The only knock on him, at least to this point, is that Young is very short, especially compared to other quarterbacks across the league.
His reputation proceeds him, and many teams believe that he will be able to succeed at the highest level.
If he does go to the Texans, his work will be cut out for him, given their lack of receiving depth.
However, being the newest franchise quarterback comes with its perks, and the fanbase is likely to fully embrace him.
