Who Should Be The Saints’ Starting QB?

The New Orleans Saints are having a difficult time finding a permanent replacement at quarterback since Drew Brees retired.

Since his retirement in 2021, the Saints have gone through several quarterbacks.

However, none of these quarterbacks have given the team the answer they need under center.

For this season, the team has used Taysom Hill, Andy Dalton, and Jameis Winston.

But after using these quarterbacks, the Saints record stands at 3-6.

So with them still having issues, who should be the Saints’ starting quarterback?

Jameis Winston Should Return As Starting Quarterback When Healthy

While Jameis Winston came in as the starting quarterback this season, an injury put him on the sidelines.

However, Winston has been available since week nine to return as starting quarterback.

But the holding back of him from starting might come from him still not feeling 100%.

While he’s able to practice, he’s still not feeling like he’s at 100%.

But when he is at 100%, the Saints need to give him the starting job back.

He started the season off on the right foot, passing for 269 yards and two touchdowns in a win over the Atlanta Falcons.

With him back at 100%, he can lead this Saints team to a better record.

He’s already done this, as he was on fire last season before an injury cost him the rest of the 2021 season.

When he’s healthy, he’s shown he can lead the Saints, which is more than he did when he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

His abilities prove he’s a better option than Andy Dalton, meaning he should start as soon as he can return.
