Purdy was an unlikely success story last year, as he was the last player taken in the 2022 draft.
He started the season third on the team’s depth chart, but after season-ending injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, he was forced to start at center in Week 13, and did a terrific job from there. moment.
The 49ers finished the regular season on a 10-game winning streak, easily handling the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys in the first two rounds of the playoffs before being defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC title game.
