The NFL offseason in 2023 is looking thin with free agent quarterbacks.
With most starting quarterbacks set for 2023, outside of Lamar Jackson, it will be hard for teams to find a starting quarterback.
However, with Jacoby Brissett likely to hit the free agent market in 2023, he can provide any NFL team with a solid bridge quarterback.
With Brissett being both a starting quarterback and backup during his career, he is flexible as a quarterback.
Because of this, there are two NFL teams that could be an option for him in 2023.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need a quarterback now that Tom Brady has retired.
With the team having an elite receiver core, Brissett can flourish in Tampa.
While it’s a new system for him, the move can make him a clear-cut starting quarterback once again.
If his desire is to become a starting quarterback, the Buccaneers give him the home he needs for this to happen.
It also gives him the best offensive line to work with, as they allowed the fewest sacks during the 2022-23 NFL season.
Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have a dire need for a quarterback in 2023.
With the team going through several quarterbacks this past season, they need someone to help them in 2023.
While they could get a quarterback in the 2023 draft, getting Brissett gives the Panthers a brilliant choice at quarterback.
Jacoby Brissett is a logical choice on a short term deal in Carolina.

With Brissett’s playing abilities, he can help the team short-term.
However, the biggest plus to signing him is how he’s worked with head coach Frank Reich during his career.
With their prior history together in Indianapolis, the two can work out perfectly in Carolina.
