1 QB Prospect’s Draft Stock Is Reportedly ‘Surging’

We’re just a couple of days away from the 2023 NFL Draft, and it doesn’t seem like anything is set in stone yet.

While Bryce Young seems to be a lock to go No. 1 to the Carolina Panthers, the jury is still out on pretty much everybody else.

However, Dan Orlovsky believes one QB prospect is rapidly climbing his way up the ladder in most mock drafts: Will Levis.

Per Orlovsky, the only reason the Kentucky product wasn’t considered a better prospect wasn’t even his fault.

Levis’ talent doesn’t match the tape, says Orlovsky, and his poor production could be due to the fact that his supporting cast wasn’t good at all.

Levis struggled to find any sort of time or space to operate behind one of the worst offensive lines in college, and his wide receivers struggled to get separation from their defenders.

So, even though it might take him a while to find his groove, Orlovsky agrees with all those comparisons to Josh Allen, raving about Levis’ strength, size, and athleticism.

Of course, Levis’ numbers and some of his throws aren’t impressive at all, which is why some scouts were hesitant to even consider him a first-round kind of talent.

But the physical tools are most definitely there, and he wouldn’t be the first similar QB to find success at the next level, given the right time and environment to develop.

So, will Levis climb his way up to the top 10 or even higher? We’ll have to wait and see.
