Not so long ago, DeAndre Hopkins was one of the most respected and sought-after wide receivers in the National Football League.
But this is a ruthless business, and Father Time spares no victims, so that’s no longer the case.
The former Houston Texans star has been more of an afterthought as of late, and there hasn’t been all that much interest in his services anymore.
Now, you can add the Jacksonville Jaguars to the list of teams not interested in signing him, as HC Doug Pederson recently shut down the possibility of adding anyone else to their WR room, according to Mia O’Brien.
Doug was asked about DeAndre Hopkins. Raves about the current state of #Jaguars WR Room.

Notably, the Jaguars caught some backlash last season for overpaying seemingly mid-tier wideouts, but they developed an instant rapport with Trevor Lawrence and were instrumental in the team’s success.
They’ll now get a solid reinforcement in Calvin Ridley, who was reinstated after serving a one-year suspension for gambling on NFL games, and he’s expected to have a prominent role in the offense right out of the gate.
The Jaguars took a massive leap forward in Pederson’s first year in control, leaving that dark, infamous Urban Meyer tenure long behind them, and even winning the AFC South Division title.
As for Hopkins, it seems like he’ll have to wait a little longer to see if there’s a big injury or a team desperate enough to make him the lucrative offer he’s reportedly looking to sign.
