Will Joshua Primo play in the NBA again soon?

Follow the mystery surrounding Joshua Primo, the 12th pick in the 2021 draft who was surprisingly cut by San Antonio. The Spurs announced the player’s firing on Friday night.

Due to Primo’s contractual situation, everything related to the reasons why the Spurs have chosen not to have him in the future will come to light. NBA teams with salary space can choose to keep their contract as a deadline on Monday mid-afternoon on the East Coast of the United States, a situation for which many franchises are investigating Primo’s recent past.

The economic terms of Primo’s contract, his age (19 years old) and the promise of his game make him an intriguing piece for several franchises. For the current season Primo has a salary of 4.1 million dollars, while for the next course his payroll will rise to 4.3 million. Primo’s contract was extended by the Spurs in October, which speaks to the confidence Texas had in him as of this week.

Last year Primo averaged 5.9 points in 54 games played. This season he has played the first four games with averages of 7 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per night. On Wednesday the Spurs already left him out of the match against Minnesota and the same Friday he was cut before the match against the Bulls.

They accuse him of being an exhibitionist

As published ESPN In the first place, the reason why San Antonio decided to cut off relations with the player was that Primo exposed himself naked to several women. The same medium received communication from a lawyer named Tony Buzbee saying that he has been hired by a woman who worked for the Spurs, who argues that Primo flashed her. ESPN remember that Buzbee is a lawyer specializing in issues of a sexual nature in sports work environments.

Primo already issued a statement on Friday night without giving much explanation except that he was still “seeking help to treat a previous trauma suffered and that he would now take this time to focus on my mental health more thoroughly.”
