Over the past ten years in the NFL, there have been a few standout performers on the defensive side of the ball.
Having a superstar on the offensive side of the ball is one thing, and those players typically receive a lot of public praise.
Defensive players are often unsung heroes, as they can be the difference between a close win, and a heartbreaking loss.
Recently, Von Miller highlighted who he believes are the best defensive players in the NFL.
If he paired four specific players together, Miller asserted that they would be an unstoppable force for any opposing team.
Those four players are Miller, Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, and JJ Watt.

While this line would never happen, especially considering that Watt is retired, it is certainly a dream for many NFL fans.
Each one of these players is likely to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, given their on-field efforts.
Between the four of them, they have three Super Bowl rings, seven Defensive Player of the Year awards, and 19 first-team All-Pro nominations.
Miller identified these as the best defensive players over the past several years, and it’s difficult to disagree with him at this point.
During the 2022 season, Miller tore his ACL after an impressive start to the year.
Heading into 2023, the Buffalo Bills’ defense will count on Miller to help lead them to an AFC Championship appearance.
His appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast is certainly encouraging, and he appears to be ready to go.
