It’s been a busy couple of days for the Arizona Cardinals but in a good way.

First, they hosted the Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium, followed by Jonathan Gannon’s hiring as their new head coach.

Then, they welcomed a relative and very important guest in their facilities, as Kyler Murray was spotted doing some rehab work just six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

The former first-overall pick suffered a torn ACL in early December, meaning he’s likely to miss the start of the season for the Cardinals.

Moreover, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Cardinals want to take things slowly and avoid any potential setbacks, so there’s a chance they could keep him away from the field until the mid-point in the season.

Murray’s injury in Week 14 was just the cherry on top of the sundae for a disastrous season for the organization, and the timing only jeopardized their following campaign as well.

It started off with DeAndre Hopkins’ PED suspension, and it finished with a 4-13 record and HC Kliff Kingsbury finally being shown the way out the door.

Now, it’s unclear who’ll take the field for the Cardinals while their QB1 is still on the shelf, but new coach Jonathan Gannon is surely expected to fix their disastrous defense.

Gannon was the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator this season, and while he wasn’t able to figure out how to stop Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, he’s still one of the rising minds in the NFL ranks.
