The St. Louis Cardinals were unable to extend their streak of Opening Day wins to four on Thursday, as they fell 10-9 to the star-studded Toronto Blue Jays.
However, that doesn’t mean that other aspects of the team aren’t looking good.
In fact, slugger Tyler O’Neill is off to a good start.
St. Louis fell into an early hole against the Blue Jays and were down 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning.
But O’Neill took a 94-mph fastball to right-center field off of Alek Manoah that cleared the wall and put the Cardinals within a run.
The video of the highlight can be seen in the tweet below.

O’Neill is certainly off to a good start.
The Cardinals and Blue Jays traded punches for much of the afternoon.
Toronto added another run after O’Neill’s home run, but St. Louis battled back to take the lead.
O’Neill had an injury-plagued season in 2022 and managed to hit just .228 during the regular season.
He made three trips to the injured list and was not active for the postseason.
But on Thursday, he looked more like his 2021 self.
That year, the slugger hit 34 home runs and even found himself in the conversation for the National League MVP Award.
The Cardinals have banked a lot on the health of O’Neill.
If he can stay healthy, then the Cardinals will have one of the deepest lineups in all of baseball.
