Spring training is underway and games have begun, which means it’s time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Major League Baseball yet again.
Today, the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies are squaring off in Grapefruit League play, with the game being shown on ESPN.
In the early stages of the game, Red Sox teammates Enrique Hernandez and Justin Turner, who reunited this offseason after having spent time together with the Los Angeles Dodgers, were Mic’d up for this afternoon’s game.
The two shared some fun banter with each other on the broadcast, including a funny moment with Hernandez, when he questioned an umpire’s call by saying, “I didn’t deke you?”

The play was a bang-bang play, with a runner trying to steal second base.
Hernandez believed that the runner was out, but was told otherwise by the second base umpire.
Unfortunately, Hernandez was unable to plead his case.
Even the announcers told him that the runner was safe.
Still, both Turner and Hernandez got a chance to enjoy some fun banter out on the field, which was picked up by the microphones on ESPN.
It may not be your typical way of enjoying the sights and sounds of the game, but Hernandez and Turner certainly provided some entertainment while out on the field.
Still, Hernandez was unable to deke the umpire when the runner was called safe.
Perhaps he’ll have a little better luck next time around, but some fun banter during a game certainly never fails when watching baseball.
