There are no guarantees that Lonzo Ball will return this season.

In the midst of a disappointing first quarter of the season that has them eleventh in the East, Bulls fans are forced to swallow a new jug of cold water. In an intervention for ESPN, Adrian Wojnarowski has updated the situation of Lonzo Ball saying that “there are no guarantees that he will play again this season.” A few weeks ago there was certainly optimistic information about the Chicago point guard’s knee, but his coach Billy Donovan was quick to deny it.

During his appearance, the journalist indicates that Ball continues to feel pain in the affected part, which would be preventing him from advancing in his recovery. The most worrying part of the statement, if the situation was not alarming in itself, comes when Woj mentions that the Bulls would be waiting to reevaluate him for the All Star break. That is, in mid-February. Lonzo hasn’t played since the beginning of this year in what was going to be an absence of a couple of months at the most. Which has been complicated time after time forcing the player to undergo a second surgery last September.
