As of Monday afternoon, three MLB teams have a better record in 2023 than the 10-6 New York Yankees: the Tampa Bay Rays (14-2), the Atlanta Braves (12-4), and the Milwaukee Brewers (11-5 ).

Three other organizations; the Toronto Blue Jays, the Minnesota Twins, and the New York Mets, have the same 10-6 record as the Bombers.

None of them, however, can say they haven’t lost a series so far this year.

The Yankees still haven’t, the only team in MLB.

While the Rays have the best record in baseball, they just lost two of three with the Blue Jays over the weekend.

On Friday, it definitely looked like the Yankees were going to lose their first series of the season against the Twins.

They dropped the first two of the four-game set on Thursday and Friday.

However, with excellent pitching performances from Domingo German and Gerrit Cole, the Yanks bounced back and earned victories on Saturday and Sunday to split the series.

They will eventually lose a series because no team has ever gone a full season without dropping one.

However, the fact they have been able to win or tie all series is certainly noteworthy.

It shows their roster not only has quality, but they also have the ability to bounce back from adversity.

They have done this with a myriad of injury issues: Josh Donaldson, Giancarlo Stanton, Frankie Montas, Carlos Rodon, Luis Severino, Tommy Kahnle, Harrison Bader, and Jonathan Loaisiga are all injured or have missed time with a physical issue this season.

As they get healthier, the Yankees will also get better.

That’s certainly not what the league wants to hear.
