The New York Yankees have had notorious bad luck with injuries in recent weeks.
First, it was reported that Frankie Montas (shoulder) would not be ready for the start of the season and would miss approximately one month.
Around those days, in February, Nestor Cortes strained his hamstring, but has already recovered.
Then it was revealed that Montas would require surgery and miss months, putting his season in jeopardy.
On Thursday, star left-hander Carlos Rodon went down with a mild forearm strain that will force him to miss the start of the season.
He isn’t the only one, unfortunately.
Tommy Kahnle and Lou Trivino will also begin the season on the IL, Brian Cashman said.

Yankees insider Bryan Hoch is reporting that two additional Yankees pitchers, Tommy Kahnle and Lou Trivino, won’t be ready to start the season on the active roster with their own physical aids.
Kahnle went down a few days ago with right biceps tendonitis.
Manager Aaron Boone said he had a chance to be ready for Opening Day, but that was an overly optimistic prognosis.
In any case, he should be back relatively soon.
Trivino is nursing a mild elbow ligament strain, which is a more concerning injury.
If all goes well, he will miss about a month of the regular season and return with no issues.
The Yankees’ pitching depth, both in the rotation and the bullpen, is being tested at the moment.
They have two solid starters to plug in their rotation, Domingo German and Clarke Schmidt, but not much after that.
The bullpen is a bit deeper and has more options to absorb Trivino and Kahnle’s absences, though.
We will see if they go emergency shopping to bring in a starter or a reliever.
