The Steelers Have Cut A Veteran Linebacker

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to improve their roster this offseason.

After finishing 9-8 last year and just barely missing the playoffs, Pittsburgh is hoping for better results in 2023.

They have already been active in free agency and have added a few new players to their defense.

One spot they have been looking to address in free agency is linebacker.

They added Elandon Roberts and Cole Holcomb.

After doing so, the Steelers made a corresponding move to release a linebacker.

According to Adam Schefter, the Steelers have cut linebacker Myles Jack.

This is a move that makes sense with the Steelers adding two new players at linebacker.

Releasing Jack will save the Steelers about $8 million in cap space.

One spot where the Steelers need to improve is the offensive line.

They added Nate Herbig from the New York Jets, but he seems like a depth signing.

Expect the Steelers to be interested in drafting an offensive lineman with their first-round draft pick.

Pittsburgh has the 17th overall pick, and they should be able to find a starter in that spot.

The future of the Steelers’ franchise is quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Pittsburgh needs to invest in keeping him upright and allowing him to be at his best.

The Steelers are hoping that Pickett can make great strides in his second year.

Playing in the AFC North will be no small task, but they can compete for a playoff spot with good quarterback play.
