While it makes sense not to put much stock into a team’s spring training record, one can’t help but wonder if what the Boston Red Sox have done so far is any indication of what may take place in the regular season.
The Red Sox have played 13 spring training games and have no losses, with a few ties thrown in.
It’s true.
The Red Sox have yet to lose this spring, and that bit of information has Red Sox fans very excited at the moment.
On Twitter, a Red Sox insider took note of what has been taking place this spring and expressed excitement for the 2023 season.
Another win for the spring Red Sox, this time crushing the Puerto Rico National Team 9-3.
They’ve played 13 games this spring and have lost precisely zero of them.

The Red Sox finished in last place in 2022, winning just 78 games.
On top of that, they lost Xander Bogaerts, JD Martinez, Michael Wacha, and Nathan Eovaldi in free agency.
But a few key moves were made that could benefit them in 2023.
On the pitching side, they added veteran pitchers Kenley Jansen, Corey Kluber, and Richard Bleier.
They also signed Adam Duvall, Justin Turner, and Masataka Yoshida and traded for Adalberto Mondesi.
So despite their losses, Boston didn’t sit around twiddling their thumbs in boredom over the winter.
And so far, spring training has been fun for their fans to watch.
Of course, the true test will be regular season games, as spring training games don’t count for much.
But it does make one wonder if the Red Sox have a little something special brewing for the upcoming season.
They were a surprise contender in 2021, winning 92 games, earning a Wild Card, and reaching the ALCS.
Perhaps more could be in store for them.
