The Texas Rangers come into the 2023 season with a new look after a busy winter.
After adding Jake Odorizzi in a trade with the Atlanta Braves, Texas continued adding to their pitching staff.
Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, Andrew Heaney, and Will Smith were added this past winter.
But with their new look also comes a bit of a surprise.
On Monday, the Rangers were one of six MLB teams to announce that their new Nike City Connect Jerseys would be arriving.
The Rangers did not reveal what their jerseys would look like, but they did announce the date that they would be arriving on Twitter.
That night, the Rangers will be playing host to the Oakland Athletics at Globe Life Field.

These new uniforms should be interesting.
The Rangers have a few uniforms that they currently wear.
While we don’t yet know what the new uniforms will look like, it may have something to do with the fact that the Rangers play in Texas, which is considered “The Lone Star State.”
The Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels are the only teams in the American League West as of now that have revealed their Nike City Connect uniforms.
Both teams revealed their new jerseys last season.
Texas will join the Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and Pittsburgh Pirates in revealing their new uniforms later this year.
That will leave the Athletics as the only team in the AL West to have not yet revealed their new jerseys.
