The Philadelphia Phillies have to be happy with the moves they made this offseason.

One of the key moves they made was signing shortstop Trea Turner to an 11-year contract.

He struggled to start the season in his new kit, but lately he’s turned it around.

Turner is hitting .280 in June with three home runs, 14 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

The former All-Star turned 30 today and the Phillies made sure to send out a thoughtful tweet.

This is the first of many birthdays Turner will celebrate in a Phillies uniform.

He’s committed to being a Phillie for the next decade and is already becoming a fan favorite.

The best gift for Turner and the rest of the Phillies is to keep adding to their winning streak.

They have won four straight and 18 of their last 23.

Now they welcome the Washington Nationals to town in another should-win series.

Turner will have the opportunity to face his former team.

Washington has a 4.63 team ERA on the season, which ranks 26th in baseball.

The Phillies should have no problem putting their bats against the last-place team in the NL East.

All Phillies fans are thrilled to have Turner as part of their roster.

He is one of the best players in baseball and should play a key role in helping the Phillies return to the World Series.
